How To Use Siri On Your iPhone or iPad
How To Use Siri On Your iPhone or iPad
This is a quick guide on how to use Siri on your iPad or iPhone. In order to set up Siri on your iPhone or iPad, you’ve got to have at least an iPhone 4 or later or an iPad 3 or later with 3G Internet or better. To enable Siri on your iPhone or iPad go to settings > general > Siri and toggle Siri to the “on” position.
To use Siri all you have to do is simply hold down the home button on your iPhone or iPad until Siri appears on the screen. One cool feature for Siri on iOS 8 is the “Hey Siri” feature, this allows you to use the iPhone or iPad voice assistant hands-free!

To enable the “Hey Siri” feature, go to settings > general > Siri and make sure that “Hey Siri” is on. The only downside to this feature is that you have to have your iPhone or iPad plugged into a power source (unless you have a jailbroken iPhone or iPad).
The words “Hey Siri” will turn on the voice assistant without having to press the home button and you don’t even have to wait for Siri to ask to help you with something, you can just complete the request right after saying “Hey Siri”. Something like: “Hey Siri, what’s the weather today?” I really love this new iOS8 feature, and I use it a lot!
Once you’ve got Siri set up, your ready to go you can start by asking Siri “what can you do?” and Siri will give you a list of commands and things that she can help you with. That’s how you use Siri, it’s quite simple and a very handy tool once you get used to it.
