One of the latest celebrities to take the “viral” ALS Ice Bucket Challenge is new Apple Exec Dr. Dre.

He was challenged by none other than Apple CEO, Tim Cook himself!  According a press release by The ALS Association, the  ALS Ice Bucket Challenge donations have raised more than $62 million dollars this year,  in comparison to the same time span last year (July 29 and August 23 ) The Association had only raised 2.4 million dollars.

A ton of celebrities have taken the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge and made numerous donations including the likes of Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, Justin Timberlake and now the latest, Dr. Dre.

The Hip-Hop mogul posted his video to YouTube on August 18 showing him being assisted by music video and film director, Gary Gray. Dre showed that he’s no lightweight either, because it looked like and full industrial size trash can of water!  Sorry but I missed seeing the ice, maybe it melted in the hot sun that day.   None the less,  after taking the challenge, Apple’s latest recruit, said “it was a little bit shocking”.  Dr. Dre nominated fellow Hip-Hop recording artists Eminem, Snoop Dogg and Kendrick Lamar to take the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge as well.
