I’m gonna show you how to quickly force refresh the App Store App. A Twitter user named Zachary Drayer published a Tweet that really started a firestorm.

He said doing this is going to force the App Store to essentially clear it’s cache and reload everything. He helped another Twitter user, Peter Steinberger who had issues in the App Store where it was showing that he needed to update but he couldn’t, he was stuck like that for a few days.  Here are the quick steps to force refreshing the App Store app.

[Tweet “How to quickly force refresh the App Store App.”]

  1. Open the App Store app on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. At the bottom of the screen you’ll see ‘featured, top charts, explore search and updates’. Choose one of these and tap on it 10 times consecutively until the screen turns white.

Once you see that white screen, that will indicate that the App Store app has cleared it’s cache and reloaded everything.
