Apple’s iOS Car Integration is Coming Soon!
More reports are out and they indicate that the Apple iOS car integration is coming sooner rather than later in 2014.
According to Apple Insider, “Apple is rumored to be prepping an official announcement relating to its “iOS in the Car” initiative, with one report claiming the company will reveal the first three automakers to implement the technology next week.”
The three automakers include: Mercedes-Benz, Ferrari and Volvo. At the WWDC (The Apple Worldwide Developers Conference) 2013 keynote, Apple Vice President of Software and Service, Eddy Cue indicated that other automakers will be onboard with the iOS car integration system as well. Some of the others include: Acura, Honda, Infiniti, Kia, Nissan and Hyundai.
“Ninety-five percent of cars sold today have integrated music playback and control from an iOS device, but we want to take this integration to a whole ’nother level,” said Eddy Cue. The in-dash display will allow users to communicate with Siri, access your entire iTunes music collection and even receive iMessages via the automobile’s sound system. Forbes has an interesting article that says in four years, most cars will work with smart phones.
