If you’re the proud owner of an iPhone 6 or 6s, then there are a few accessories that can easily be categorized as “must-haves.” iPhone accessories can be anything from phone cases to battery packs to car mounts, but with the amount of illegitimate and off-brand products out there, it’s hard to know where you should start and what you need to have.
It’s like searching for a needle in a haystack. Only in this case the needle is an accessory and the haystack is the untamed internet.
We feel your pain, which is why we’ve gone out of our way (don’t mention it) to scour the known technological world to find the gems that would perfectly accessorize your iPhone 6, 6s or any other iPhone model for that matter! This is the first of three parts, we tried a lot of accessories and did the research for you!
Now because the 6/6s and 6Plus/6sPlus are basically the same phone in terms of size and dimensions, these accessories are interchangeable between the two and of course most of these accessories are compatible with most iPhone models.
Without further ado, let’s get into some of the best selling iPhone 6 and 6s accessories you can get for your iDevice!
This screen protector is made of fortified tempered glass, in other words tough safety glass that is hard to damage. The Zagg is made to repel your natural oils from your skin making it more of a no-smudge glass.
A chief complaint with screen protectors is the lack of touch sensitivity. Luckily the Zagg is ultrathin so doesn’t interfere with your finger touching desires (I regret the wording of that sentence.)
You can purchase a Zagg InvisibleShield HDX at Amazon: iPhone 6 Plus, 6s Plus: $20.50 it comes with a lifetime warranty that covers replacement upon damage or wear and tear (just be sure to create an account and register your Zagg when you get home), this is practically a steal. No seriously, we should check first if this is legal. It’s just $19.91 for the 6, 6s.
Designed to give edge to edge screen protection, Clear-Coat is one of the better screen protectors on the market.
It’s made from a sturdy urethane film and is thin enough to allow the touchscreen to stay sensitive. They include a 45-day money back guarantee as well as a lifetime replacement guarantee. If you buy it up at your local mall kiosk, you can usually get a replacement for around $5 or $10 when you need them. So what do you have to lose?
You can buy a Clear-Coat screen protector at clear-coat.com for iPhone 6, 6s: $24.99 or $29.99 for the iPhone 6 Plus/6s Plus
Any phone case worth its weight is made out of TPU or thermoplastic polyurethane. In a nutshell, that’s durable flexible material that works great for encasing electronic devices.
See a more detailed review on the Spigen Neo Hybrid.
The Spigen Neo Hybrid of course is a TPU case but also includes a polycarbonate (another very tough material) frame. The edges are raised a bit to keep your screen set in so as to not let it land flat on its face (also known as the death drop that leaves the screen shattered).
And just in case you’re wondering, the edge buttons are easy to press when the case is on. You can pick one up for $19.99 at Amazon.com.
The Luvvitt Clearview is particularly popular because it allows you to show off and accentuate your phone. As the title suggests it’s clear, allowing you to see the phone while also protecting it. Protection comes by way of a hard back and TPU edges. Normally cases that offer this type of protection are large and bulky but the design of the Luvvitt keeps it slim.

A special coating applied to the case makes it scratch-resistant which is more than you can say for a lot of other cases out there. It’s also available in multiple color options.
The Luvvitt Clearview goes for $12.99 on Amazon.com.
While I’m not a huge fan of the Otterbox, it’s hard to deny its appeal and popularity. The Otterbox is synonymous with durability and is practically indestructible. Many people I know that work on construction sites or in rough and tumble surroundings prefer the Otterbox over most other brands.
My only complaint with it is the lack of sensitivity on the screen. Though with its triple layer protection I think defending a several hundred-dollar phone in a rough environment is more important than having a little difficulty getting it to respond to your finger. So it has its time and place.
You can get one at Amazon.com for $39.08
3. Battery Packs
A separate battery back to juice up your iPhone on the go is incredibly convenient. Most know of the Mophie Pack (which we cover below) but the Trianium is just as effective. It really is simple, just throw on the pack and switch it on for an extra 100% battery charge.
It also seconds as a phone case, preventing scratches and marks. One impressive feature that comes with the Trianium Atomic S is the ability to sync your phone to your computer using the provided micro USB cable. No need to take it off and use your lightning cable.
The Mophie Pack (as we, the users, call it) is probably considered king of all smartphone battery packs. With the simple flick of a switch you can start charging your iPhone back up without having to plug it in. Very convenient if you’re on the go.
You can choose from several different models. The Juice Pack Reserve will give you about 60% more battery life. The Juice Pack Air is lighter weight and gives 100% extra battery life. The Juice Pack Plus delivers 120% more battery life with a harder exterior shell, while the Juice Pack Ultra will deliver 150% extra battery life. Last but not least, the Juice Pack H2PRO is waterproof and gives 100% extra charge. Each Mophie Pack comes in a wide variety of colors.
You pick up a Mophie Juice Pack Ultra at Amazon for $149.99
While the Anker Lipstick-Sized Portable Charger isn’t a battery pack, it’s a great and cheap solution for charging up on the go. It works simply as a USB plug-in charger. It’s able to detect what kind of phone you have and gives it its fastest charge.
What’s great about this is that no matter what phone you get or upgrade to, it’ll still work. As long as those phones charge through USB (which they all pretty much do). So if you wanted to buy a Galaxy S6, God forbid, then you’d be able to charge it with the Anker. Unlike the Trianium or Mophie Pack which are sized to specific models of phones.
You can buy the Anker charger for $21.99 at Amazon.com
